UDS Simulator – Learn Diagnostics the Smart Way!

🔧 What is UDS?

UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services) is a standard protocol (ISO 14229) used in modern vehicles for diagnostics, testing, and flashing ECUs. It allows external tools (like OBD scanners or OEM testers) to communicate with vehicle ECUs to read sensor data, clear DTCs, reset systems, or switch diagnostic modes.

🚗 Example Use Case

Imagine you're testing an ECU in a prototype electric scooter. You want to verify the VIN stored in the ECU. Using UDS service 0x22 (ReadDataByIdentifier) with identifier F190 lets you retrieve the VIN. This simulator helps practice such interactions before working with real ECUs.
